I have a TPWD drawn bow hunt that starts tomorrow after an hour or so orientation. Been shooting off and on for the last 2 weeks and got one last dial in tonight. I'll try and post what I can when I can.



I live south of Dallas and we had a little bit of storms roll through not long after




May or may not have sent the first arrow right over the top and snapped it in two. And ripped a fletching off another.

My son took a couple nice bucks out of there on youth hunts. Him and I together could probably fill a couple pickup beds with the cull bucks and does we have taken there. Good luck on your hunt. Great bunch of guys running the place.

Had two bucks cruise by. One was probably coming to the pig tree but he saw it and just eased of to my left at 80yrds. They are moving.

Can you put out 4-5 lbs of corn each time you get in the woods on this hunt?

You can I just haven't. Have had a few issues.

Is he still walking?? If so, you are a patient man! How many can you shoot?

Only one. I came for a big one. Shot a 9 here a few years ago


Activity has slowed to noexistant

A gaze of racoons is making its way across the forest floor. Momma and 4 kits.

4 deer this evening. Doe and yearlings. And a buck like the one pictures this morning.

No one has killed anything. Talked to the WMA guy at checkout and said plenty to be seen but no kills.

Already had the pig back at the acorn tree and two bucks size each other up.

I need some wind. My scent is just lingering. They got too close and knew something was up. Blew a couple of times and walked off

Nothing too exciting from morning till noon. Now back in the stand the wind has showed up

Had a good buck come in at approx 708 and stay until 715. Under the canopy it was too dark still to see peep sights and deer. He was only in range from about 708-710

Had the classic one more year Texags buck show up 8 points moderately heavy horned and maybe 14-15 inches just not very long times. I looked him over for a while, he chased a doe in and stopped at some of the corn I'd poured out. If i wasn't where there are a ton of big deer I might have shot him. But at RCWMA they like you to shoot deer 15" or wider

No. Got out before the rain. I had a 2 mile ride down a pipeline road. It was sloppy the day after a rain I'd hate to use it during
