I'm not a huge fan of changing out a bunch of stuff for no reason, but you guys that have rangers, what are some modifications or additions that you've made that you recommend? The unit will be used for riding around the neighborhood and on the lease. Don't want to lift it yet, as it seems to have plenty of clearance for what I need right now.

Edit to add I already have the following...what am I missing?

Roof
Winch
Reverse light
Windshield
Small light bar on front
Small cube lights on back
Soundbar

1) light bar in the front - I prefer roof mounted

2) back up/bed lights - Led bars

3) if you have a 2019 or newer, the console space is awesome! If earlier, the front storage rack is really convenient to have and I would highly recommend one. Also makes a good shooting rest.

4) If you don't already have one, get a decent Bluetooth outdoor (weather proof/resistant) speaker. The aftermarket stereos are awesome but I rarely see the need to blare music in ranger, beyond what a cheap Bluetooth speaker can blast.

To be clear, I am just talking about taking a Bluetooth speaker and bringing it in the ranger, setting on the dash, and cruising.

5) get some of the USB charging plugs that fit into the cigarette/12v adapter. It's easier than wiring the charging points directly to a switch. Also way cheaper.

All I got for now. Good luck!

-Slime "Spair" kit
-Small tool kit, Allen wrench set, ratchet set with star bits needed. I dumped all of this in a zip up golf shoe bag I got at a fundraiser and stored it under the seat. Around the neighborhood it's no big deal but on the lease it might save the day.
-Tree strap, D rings, snatch block, etc if you ever need to use your winch
-Spare CVT belt, just in case
-50-100' of rope, makes hauling deer out of the brush a lot easier
-Work gloves
-Rear bumper

The bumper is the only modification, the rest are things that will come in handy at some point

I just bought a Ranger, and your list almost matches mine exactly.

The only thing missing is the console mounted gun rack.

As George08 mentioned, the "flip up" full window is very nice to have.

Steel roof - I have a Fortress steel roof and its useful to be able to stand on top of your machine from time to time to work (e.g., trim limbs) or get a good perspective for blind location and shooting lanes

Gun racks - I have Great Day gun racks that fit between the roof struts above the front and back seats. Good storage option that keeps long guns out of the way (although not optimal for quick access)

Waterproof toolbox/ammo cans for bed storage

We have a Fortress roof on a work Mule that also has a windshield. The lower part below the glass flips out to let air flow in. Its seems to be of good quality.

Like other have said, SLIME in the tires and a tool kit.

We have the following on ours:

- probox too with Bluetooth radio, speakers and LED lighting
- Fortress windshield (not in love with this as the glass is heavy/awkward to raise and lower
-2" lift for extra ground clearance
-Kevlar tires with slime (the tires are great for south Texas ranch riding but will beat you to death once you get on hard caliche or asphalt
-full skid plate like someone else showed above
-front bumper with receiver hitch for road feeder

I just recently bought an '03 Ranger from my BIL. The only modification I made was "madeitrun".

I'm gonna add a rear seat in the bed for my kids. Added seat covers and the gear shifter cap was gone. That damn thing was $15!
