I'd like to go out and get on some catfish. I don't know what time of year the guides usually do that but I'd like to connect with one of any of you boys know of a good on. My 4 year old wants to go fishing so I'm excited to take him along. I'd like him to enjoy his first experience.

Thanks for the links. I was just wondering if anyone here had any personal experience with a guide out there.
I dont have any leads on guides, but we fish choke quite a bit.
My Dad and uncles limited out a few weeks ago. They were fishing just off the river (Greyhound Point area) channel in 8-12' of water. Just in case you dont know where greyhound point is its roughly between the 99 boat ramp and mason point boat ramp.

Marv is a good guy and guide. My dad is friends with him. They often trade spots. If you go on your own, buy his bait.
Charles Brown is/was the best and a family friend but he is not doing many trips anymore.

What's the water level like these days?
I fished with Wallace Gee 20 years ago. Fished over spots baited with sour grain using punch bait. Always caught fish. Nothing sexy. Just fishing.
