Another vote for the Benchmade 940 here. I put a deep carry clip on it and it's the best pocketknife I've ever owned.

Kershaw Link Gray Aluminum Blackwash (1776GRYBW) Drop-Point Knife with SpeedSafe Assisted Opening, 3.25 In. 420HC Stainless Steel Blade, Liner Lock, Flipper, Reversible Clip; 4.8 oz. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00TAD2EKM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_FsJHDbDFS1DD4

I think I just found my next knife

I broke down and purchased one. Solid, sturdy and blade is very sharp. First Kershaw I've ever owned. Gonna carry it for a while instead of my Benchmade.

These days I am carrying a traditional knife from GEC ( sodbuster style or a jack knife). I carry a Swiss Army Pioneer on occasion as well or at the least, put it in my backpack. My carry style and cutting needs do just fine with these slip-joint traditional style knives.

Also have a Spyderco Delica, but haven't carried it in about a year or so. Fine carrying it with jeans but the clip started wearing out my khakis some. I prefer knives with no clips now.

Grabbed something in the safe today and decided to get all of my knives out for a family pic.

- Old Timer: Grandfather bought it for me and it's just like the one he carried. Stays in it's case in a safe now. Probably need to oil it.
- Red Buck: First knife my grandfather bought me. Carried it daily for a while after college when I realized I left it in a pocket of a pair of pants at the cleaners. I freaked out. Went up there the next day they were open and they had it set aside. Now sits in the safe and will probably never be carried.
- Kershaw Chive: Mom bought it for me one Christmas
- Kershaw Leek: Bought a bunch to have my groomsman's names engraved on and picked me one up as well.
- Swiss Champ: Another one my grandfather bought me. I bought a case for it when I was in Switzerland in '99 and it stays in that.
- Blue Swiss Army (can remember the model): Bought this in Switzerland in '99. I remember cutting myself on it not even 2 minutes after buying it.
- 2 Kershaw Skylines: Black blade is the one I lost and found last week. The other was the replacement. I carry the black one daily.

Yeah, I work a office job so they're not as used as some of yours. A tough orange rind or loose string is mainly what they face on a daily basis.

Actually don't carry a pocket knife these days and really should. Got several in my truck and my desk at the office and in my brief case but rarely have one in my pocket.

When I do it's a Victorinox Executive more often than not.

Been carrying a Kershaw Chill now for a week or so and so far I like it. Not the greatest steel certainly but I like the fact that its made where I'm going to have to break it in. Not quite as light as i thought I wanted but it isn't an issue in my pocket. So far so good, and if I lose it, I just order another one.

Been carrying a Kershaw Auto for about 4 months. I've carried their Leek for years but the auto is now my favorite.

My favorite is a large left hand sebenza. It is a heavy duty knife that I have carried for a few years, capable of any task that you need a knife to do.

I still occasionally carry a leatherman skeletool like I posted about earlier in this thread, but I had a giftcard that was burning a hole in my wallet and nothing else to buy at the time, so I only spent about $20 on a Benchmade 940 and........ wow.

I can see what the hype is about and why a lot of outdoor youtube guys recommend it. Well balanced, lightweight, perfect blade length, and really high quality blade that hasnt lost a beat in the couple of months that I've had it now.

Just in case its not obvious, I'm really impressed with the knife and has quickly become what I carry most of the time, and since I didnt spend too much of my own money on it, I'm not afraid to abuse it and it definitely doesnt get babied even though its an expensive knife.

Moore Maker trapper. Made in Texas!

Probably not made in Texas. Moore maker doesn't manufacture their knives.

Just got a Ken Onion knife sharpener. @$140 dollars. Easy to use and works incredibly well. Highly recommend.

Well, the Chill went back to Amazon the other day. It wasn't really breaking in, but I didn't give it too much of a chance. It wasn't THAT which I was concerned about. I realized the knife wasn't very sharp. I guess the stuff I cut initially didn't require a lot but after I tried to cut a few other things I was like, "this isn't exactly dull but it is the dullest new knife I can remember buying." So it went back.

In spite of the fact that I like the index finger opening style (doesn't have to be assisted) knives, I bit the bullet and picked up a Benchmade Bugout. I've never spent this much for a knife, other than kitchen one, but it gets good reviews and I figured rather than buying cheaper ones that don't stay sharp, I'll just get a good one. I will still get cheaper ones for putting in various bags and other places where I need to have something for sure.

Yeah they are just "assembled in Texas"
Blades come from multiple manufacturers around the country, some better than others.
