Agree with Chambers and Liberty County.
It also excludes Montgomery County (Conroe, Willis, Cut and Shoot) as well as Lake Conroe.
It excludes Walker County (Huntsville and Huntsville State Park) and much of the Sam Houston National Forest.
All of which are deep in the Piney Woods.

Imma keep it real... anything east of I35, south of Memphis is pretty much the same when you take out any place with a beach. I will submit that Acadiana, Appalachia, Mississippi Delta, and anything south of Ocala are notable exceptions.

Grew up in Chambers County and I would definitely include it in SE Texas. That map was as good as I could find though.

I've heard people call College Station part of East Texas, and someone on this thread said anything east of I-35. A big no on both of those.

I'm from South Texas and I just remember my first day at Fish Camp and being mesmerized by the blonde girls from East Texas. Never had seen anything like it.

That blows my mind that people who have been on Texags for a long time haven't seen that clip. It's been posted on dozens if not hundreds of threads.

It's from the movie Bernie (set in Carthage but obviously not all filmed there).
