Was just curious if anybody has one or has shot one and your opinion. Thinking about getting one (to keep my AR from getting lonely).

I have one in 300blk. It really surprised me at how accurate it is. With Hornady rounds, it holds about a 3/4" grouping at 100 yards with supers and 1" with subs. I wouldn't doubt that a 556 would do the same if not better.

ETA that the action is slightly tight but not bad enough for me to not enjoy shooting it.

What about a carbine version in .300 blackout, subsonic rounds, and suppressor?

Wanted 5.56 mainly because I'd never have to buy ammo for it.

BCS, have you ever experienced light primer strikes on your RAR 300BO? Is yours the rotary mag or AICS?

Also have a Ruger Ranch in 300BLK. Rotary mag.
Suppressed with a Thunderbeast 30PSS. Gun consistently shoots 1" groups at 100 yds with 208 grain Amax subsonic. No recoil. Quiet. Accurate. Always makes the trip to the deer blind. Probably one of my favorite rifles.

Imagine one in 556 would be a great shooter also. Ruger hit a home run with the American/Ranch rifle series.

I haven't had any issues. It uses standard AR magazines. The American Predators use AICS.

I bought Ruger Ranch rifle in 5.56 for same reasons. I already had some ammo and it becomes a good hog and coyote, truck and 4-wheeler gun.
