So we have several chickens and get a good amount of eggs everyday. We eat some and give away some, but still keep a pretty good supply on hand.

I know fresh eggs will keep for a good while on their own, but we keep them in our spare refrigerator in the garage.

Apparently someone (me?) didn't shut the frig door good for several hours and it warmed up quite a bit. My question is should we not chance it and just chunk the eggs, or are they still good to eat?

Eggs in every other country on earth are sold off a room temp shelf, never refrigerated. They also (though less universally) usually don't wipe off the eggs (in some countries it's illegal to do so), so whatever's on them when they're gathered is what's on them when you buy them.

I would 100% eat them.

Sounds like you answered you question already.

Natural membrane on freshly laid eggs allow it to be kept for two weeks or so unrefrigerated. Assuming you didn't scrub these eggs off you should be good.

The biggest concern would be if condensation built up on them once the fridge got hot. I'd nearly guarantee that it did. This makes it easier for pathogens to penetrate the shell. So, yeah, technically there is a risk. That said, I would eat them anyway.

If in doubt, just before using, place them in a cup with enough cool water to cover +1". If it floats, no go. Otherwise you're good.

Still very useable.....Halloween isn't that far off.
