How long do you want to ignore this user?
Question. I have a PRI Gas Buster CH on my 8.5" 300blk SBR, and it's good at keeping hot gas and mess off me. Building a 20" 6.5 Grendel that will be used with suppressor as well. Should I spring for another gas busting CH or will any CH work due to the longer barrel / rifle length gas tube. Is there any difference in blowback gas as a result of a longer barrel?

I haven't noticed much difference in blowback between my sbr and my 20" rifle all other things being equal.

I would go with an adjustable gas block if you plan on running suppressed. This makes the biggest difference IMHO...

Radian makes a suppressor optimized charging handle, and it's great. Gemtech also makes a carrier to help vent gassed out the ejection port vs out the back, however these only work well if you're right handed.

But, like Tx-Ag2010 mentioned, you don't have to deal with the gasses at all if they're not there in the first place. And the only way to control that is with an adjustable gas block. Thought process being that if the gasses are traveling down the gas tube, you're "dealing" with them in way or another.... slowing your bolt down with a heavier buffer or venting the gasses off before they reach you. For not much more than the cost of a suppressor specific charging handle, you can throw on an SLR Sentry 7(or 8) or MicroMOA adjustable gas block and now you're not "making due" with the gasses, rather controlling them.

I was under the impression that gemtech stopped making that BCG

Quick google search leads me to believe you are correct. I saw a couple listed as in stock, but they don't appear to be listed on their website anymore. Surefire makes one as well, but I haven't seen one.

I use the Griffin SNACH on my AR-9 and it is awesome.

Whichever you can find on sale.

The radian is nice, but I wish it had a shelf to block that little gap on top of receiver, but oh well,

Get the radian.

I shoot lefty and I have a few lefty uppers with the radian so our comparison is equal.

I also have std uppers and gas in the face is just the way it goes.

Adj gas block will do more for ya.

Adjustable gas blocks help more than "gas buster" charging handles, IMO. If I was only going to get one, it's be a gas block.

I'm going to try out the 2A lightweight BCG that lets you adjust the gas at the bcg next time around. I've heard good things.
