I haven't made this trip myself, but one of my buddies from work did and made this vid.

Incredible. Looks like a blast. I'm assuming he was packing heat.

Me and three buddies did the trip from Pandale Crossing to the high bridge outside of Comstock. 60 miles in 5 days. Sank 3 out of the 4 kayaks, had to cut drips out of spots and melt them in to the holes to finish the trip. Gnarly time.

Oh for peets sake. The only dangerous part of that trip where you may need a gun was the stretch of highway through Memphis.

Had to tow some guys to the high bridge with our boat once they got into the open river lake part. The wind blowing upstream through the canyon was hell on them.
Can I go to sleep Looch?

I'll pass that on to him. He's not a Texan, not sure where he's from. We work in DC and he made the trip from here.

Tell your buddy he did a great job with the video. The drone shot under the high bridge and the fishing releases were well done.

He's got another video showing him going up the river from Amistad, that I believe shows what you are talking about. The canyon walls get pretty high, looks like it would be a serious wind tunnel.

He's on a boat that I guess is shallow draft? I'm not a boat guy, but he's going pretty fast in what looks to be shallow water.

This place looks like lot's of fun and adventure. Since I'm not a boat guy, the agency we work for won't deploy me down there.
