Have a house down in Rockport and use to know a guy who would let us on the Laguna Reef pier to fish at night, but he sold and now our connection is gone. Anyone know of any spots? Under the lights at Paradise Key at Cove Harbor is always good, but I don't think they will let you fish there. Any suggestions would be great!

Goose Island State Park

We'll be staying at Laguna Reef in a few weeks. Have heard the fishing there is good under the lights.

We used to own a house on Shell RIdge Road and used to fish under Tom Benson's lighted fishing pier. Those were good times.

Rockport Ag here. Ya wanna stay in the area or venture just a little to Port A, hearing Horace Caldwell for trout is doing really well. No I lied, I did not hear it, I saw the fish, nice trout and these were on Mirro Lures not bait.

We fished there as well. House is 6 houses down from Laguna Reef so those were the spots before things changed

I think Goose Island pier is still a couple years out from opening back up. If you like to wade I bet that is hard sand and grass out in front there. Could probably pick up a couple trout during the morning. Throw some croaker at the potholes could be a good time.

TPWD has bids out right now for hurricane repairs For goose island, including the pier and many other items. Prob not an option for awhile, as speculated above.
