Ego carbon fiver weed eater-which one do y'all have
I'm looking to get one I'm done with my gas echo
This is the one I have - power head feed when reloading string is the absolute shiz. Holds about 15 or so feet of string, takes about 30 seconds to reload and I don't have to fight with taking the head apart or any of that nonsense.

How well would these electric trimmers work for ranch use? I can see how they would work my house in the city, just curious what kind of use I would get trimming around blinds and feeders.
I use my weed eater at the lease, around camp and my blinds and feeders. No issues so far. Just make sure that both of my batteries are fully charged before I head out and I'm good.

Searching around, I found a replacement non-Ryobi brand 6 Ah 40 V battery on Amazon. Looks promising.

I have a full Ryobi 40v setup with extra batteries. I've let my yard grow 3-4 inches after a very rainy week, and it did just fine. I would say that the mower (the top model) is still somewhat flimsy. I feel after 2 years, i might need to rip it apart and secure the thing a bit better.

It does have a 5 year warranty though.

The blower eats battery fast, and the trimmer (big one) does everything my old Toro did.

I have a kobalt electric mower. Mows great, but I need to get another battery so I can swap out. My yard is right on the cusp of being too big, and sometimes my battery dies before I can finish. But it mows as good as any gas push mower I've used

Just bought my first house, and naturally am in need of lawn equipment.

Home Depot is having a great sale on the battery powered Ryobi gear. Has anyone used this stuff? Or should I stick to a standard 2 cycle mower?
I've got an electric Kobalt mower, weed eater, 2 batteries and charger that I'll give you a great deal on. Bought them but then ended up hiring a lawn guy to save time.
I'm interested...In the process of buying my first home and will be in need of lawn equipment. PM me if you'd still like to sell them.

Also interested if the deals fall through on the posters ahead of me.

Anybody have any experience with battery powered chainsaws?

I want to use it for general pruning (6 or so inch limbs). I've got a gas Stihl for the big stuff.

I was leaning toward a Stilh but once I started looking, I saw that I had numerous options.

I want power, but other than price, I'm not sure how it's measured. I.e. Same volt and amp but difference in price. It's hard to compare across the various makers and sometimes within the same mfg.

Edit: I already have a battery powered Ego trimmer

I'd take a look at Ego to match batteries

I have an 8" Greenworks polesaw. The smaller battery will last longer than I will when using it. I have a larger battery for my blower that I could use if needed. I would likely not be able to move for a couple of weeks if I used the saw enough to drain the battery.

To clarify, I'm looking for a handheld chainsaw, not a polesaw. But I agree that some of the polesaws can wear your shoulders out.

I have an electric one that disconnects from the pole so you can cut either way

I was shocked at how good the kobalt mowers work. My yard was done in a snap. Its the edging and weeding gardens that got me to hire a lawn guy to do it all. Weeding flower beds is the suck.

I bought the dewalt 20V 12 inch chainsaw for the ranch. I cut down all kinds of stuff but mostly mesquite trees. That sucker has cut down everything I've tried it on. Battery lasts about as long I need it but I did buy a second battery later on as I've been doing a lot of cutting. I use misty dewalt tools so I'm staying with that brand for tools.

I do use the greenworks stuff for lawn/weed trimming. Very happy with those prods as well.

My gf has the ego weed trimmer and I used it today. It's very nice. Plenty of power.

Just bought the Ryobi 40v 20" mower - base model this weekend ~$280.
Fully charged the 5 A-hr battery overnight, then cut the grass in the morning in 20-25 minutes using 1/2 the battery.
It mulches the crap out of the cuttings.
I had 3 weeks of grass to cut and it was no problem. Cut my San Augustine as fast as I could walk and I was trying to beat a Thunderstorm rolling in.

just a heads up, Home Depot currently has the Ryobi 40v 20" mower with the 40 volt 5.0 battery on sale for $249. I purchased this a month ago and have really enjoyed it. I can mow my yard twice on a single charge.
