How long do you want to ignore this user?
Does anyone have any experience with sending a shotgun back to Benelli?

I have an SBEII that has failed to fire multiple times on two hunts the last being on a turkey yesterday. I've loved the gun up until the issues started. It will fire intermittently. When it doesn't fire the trigger still functions and there's a click. It's not the ammo as I've checked it with other shotguns. Thought maybe it wasn't clean enough so I've cleaned and oiled it several times all with the same intermittent results.

They have a 10yr policy and I'm within that, so here's hoping. I've read on other boards where people say Benelli refused to fix the problem. Don't know what to think of that but I have more respect for the guys on this board than some random poster from who knows where.

TIA

Buddy of mine just sent two guns back to them and said he was treated well.

I don't know anything about Benelli sevhce ...
I was in a sporting clays tourny and a team member had this problem. The problem was that the forestock was loose allowing the barrel to ride forward a bit and the firing pin was not reaching the primer. Tightened it up and it worked flawless. Probably not your issue but an easy thing to check.

Sent one back in Jan. Gun bought used & out of warranty. I expected to pay. They fixed it and shipped it back without any charge. Took about 45 days but service was outstanding.

I'm guessing you've googled "benelli click" and seen it's a somewhat common issue with the sbe2? The gun gets bumped and the bolt comes slightly out of battery. Dunno if there is a fix beyond manually making sure the bolt is forward, but that is what is causing your issues.

While not the same issue- I have had a great experience with Benelli customer support.

I had an extended choke that split on a hunt one time. I was worried it potentially damaged or warped the barrel. I sent the barrel and choke to the choke manufacturer, and they said everything looked fine. Needless to say, I didn't want to take their word on it. I called Benelli, and they said they would test it and ensure. So I had the choke guys send it to Benelli, who gave it the stamp of approval (and fixed one minor thing for me just because they had it) and sent it back. Didn't cost me a dime.

I had issues with the carrier latch pin on my ethos slipping out and they were able to tell me I was missing a c-clip to hold it in place when I called them and described my issue. They sent me the part in like two days and I fixed it myself. They were very responsive.

If in Houston, I believe Briley is an AD for Benelli so might be worth a drive over to see if they will fix it in house under warranty...
