I did not. Shot him with a .300 Win Mag and his chest was completely blown out, unfortunately. Like a chunk the size of a softball was gone.

Yeah that will do it. I was wondering what you shot him with. I didn't really figure the Russian guides were carrying around shotguns.

Haha! Yeah, I don't really have the desire to get myself into a situation where I could potentially get to spend several years in a cell with Mr. Griner. If they can give somebody 10 years for a little weed, Lord knows what they would do if you accidentally had a bullet in your hunting backpack while going through airport security. Very thankful that I took this trip when I did. It was a hell of an experience!

Just wondering if it's legal to hunt grizzly bears in Alaska or Canada?

Completely legal to hunt coastal and inland brown bear(grizzly)/kodiak brown bear in Alaska . I don't know if Canada has reopened the season in them or not. I know the bleeding hearts have a moratorium on hunting brown bear in BC for now but how long that lasts is anyones guess.
