I think Pee-can might also be used in other parts of the South

As kids, we'd gather puh-cons for g-ma in the morning. Pick up a-kerns for epic sling-shot wars in the afternoon with the cousins. Have yellah cornbread in milk as a snack, then be up early the next day to work ma-skeet & wee-satch trees with g-pa.
