Anyone use any good outfitters in the Tyler area for duck hunting? Looking to book a few hunts for this fall.

I'm not sure Tyler is in the best flyway. When I duck hunt (maybe once or twice a year) I usually kill a few, but never see a large amount of ducks. I usually hunt on private land north east of Tyler, and mostly see gadwalls, wood ducks, and teal with the occasional mallard. If I were to pay for an outfitter, I would look into a different area. Maybe others have had better success in the area...

Agree with this. I duck hunt in the Sabine River bottom on private land near Tyler. I'm a 3-4 times a year guy as well, and we usually kill a few birds every trip. You'd be better off in Louisiana, Arkansas, ir Southeast Texas (Beaumont).

I have hunted the north side of Palestine Lake in my younger years, but you have to get there early! I don't know any outfitters, to answer your original question.

PLENTY of birds to be killed all around the Tyler area in every direction, but you have to put in the time to scout them. Simple as that. If you're a 3-4X a hear hunter and want to kill birds every time, I'm not sure any outfitter is a guarantee, but I'd look in Oklahoma.
