Anyone have a pop up canopy that they really like or would suggest. I am looking for one for taking to baseball/softball tournaments, so it has to be portable.

RTIC has a pretty nice one for about $100. Haven't used it in the rain, some reviews say it leaks, but so did my old EZUP.

Amazon 10 x 20 Canopy

Best bang for the buck. We use these for tailgating. A little cumbersome to travel with, but for strength/cost/size, I think these are the best.

EDIT: Sometimes you can even find them for under $200

Coleman 13 x 13

This one more expensive, but a buddy and I each had one as part of our tailgate set up. Bigger than your standard 10x10 and with built in lights that was a nice touch

Quik Shade

Comes with an extra wall that you can use when the sun is setting.

Another option

These are supposed to be easy to set up by yourself if needed.

Need to pay attention to the canopy design. Many of the cheaper ones will say 10x10 or 12x12 but the legs spread out at an angle from the top. Those measurements are at the bottom so they don't really give you the amount of shade that one of the same size with straight legs will.

My advice is to get one that's not too heavy. You may sacrifice a little quality but the first time you have to haul that thing a 1/2 mile from the car across a gravel parking lot or god knows what else, you'll be glad you didn't get that heavy SOB.

Echo the straight leg suggestions. I need to upgrade ours.

I had two straight leg steel 10x10's that survived 100's of days on the beach at Port A that Harvey took care of for me. When looking for replacements I checked out everything from aluminum to steel and settled on the grande version of the above. They are fantastic, buy two extra poles and I am certain you will be happy too. Having been to many, many baseball tournaments with my son I can tell you that lugging a heavy canopy around, worrying about it blowing over, and blocking the view of people in the stands would be more than enough to have got me to have tried Neso.

Young FIDO, when my boys baseball team needed a good pop-up, we went with Delta Canopies in McKinney. You can order any color, and we got the one with attachable sides because we found if provided better shade and was good in cold weather like the past 3 weekends. Think we paid around $250.

In-laws bought one from Sams that is good. It's labeled as a commercial pop up canopy. It is straight legged and has cross supports that run underneath the middle of the canopy. It also comes with curtains that hang on all four sides so you can close it in if you want to. It's not as light weight as an easyup from academy, but isn't to heavy for adult to move around.

You can do it with one person, but works best with 2 or more. I'm not as young/fit as I used to be (39) but I can still do it. You wouldn't want to carry it very far as its bulky. But having been through multiple 10x10 Academy style tents and even a 20x20 Carport style, these are hands down the best way to go. We had two of them we set up next to each other. You can buy a gutter kit from amazon for $20 or so, put the sides up, and it stays dry when it rains as the top won't sag like some others. Or use the sides to block the wind and with a propane fire pit, it'll hold the heat pretty well when its cold. One piece of advice though, take care of the bag they come in. Ours eventually wore out on the bottom from dragging it around.

Second the Neso... I went Gigante on size

You can get stakes to anchor in areas that dont have sand to weight it down. Another poster recommended some on another thread a couple of years ago. Held up well in high winds at beach for us
