Since duck season is over, I need to start thinking about how I am going to get the birds I shot this year mounted.

Rule 1
Bufflehead - some of the flying mounts are starting to grow on me but the standard sitting on a log mount is always good

Fulvous Whistling - I actually have two and am not sure if I should mount both or just one? I honestly have no idea...

I also have a cinnamon teal but I think I am going to add him to a deadfall strap.

All my hunting is over for now... the off-season has officially begun and I am not fishing for a while.

Looks like the neck on the fulvous may be problematic courtesy of the strap.

Bufflehead looks like a beaut!

I'd do that bufflehead standing on a small log. I just had a Woody mounted like this and he turned out great. I can send you a photo if it would help - email or text or I can post it on this thread later.

I have a greenwing and blue wing coming back from taxidermist in a week or so. I am thinking about just holding off and waiting until I get another good Greenwing and doing a deadfall/strap mount. I have a perfect BWT Drake in the freezer.

Never had anything stuffed but as I get older it's starting to grow on me. I'm only a bird hunter but what's the ballpark for getting say dove and quail mounted? Turkey fan/beard?

These are ballpark figures when using a quality taxidermist.
