thinking about upgrading my hunting scope from a pst 4-16 to the nightforce. I am guessing the nightforce will be a lot more clear glass. Will I gain much in low light conditions with the nightforce?

Hunting scope I would do a VX6hd or go to a Swarovski if clarity is your goal, both are better than either of your options in terms of clarity and low light performance.

Just to be clear I like th PST quite a bit but my VX6 blows it away and the Swaro X5 is even better. I haven't owned any Nightforce glass but the only one I liked for clarity at the show was the ATACR.

I can say I love my 5-20x56 SHV, it blows my leupold VX-6 3-18x50 out of the water for clarity and light gathering. Both are excellent scopes but I will be slowly transitioning away from leupold and moving to Nightforce or Swarovski.

The shv will make the pst feel cheap, and the pst is a good scope. The biggest difference you'll notice is field of view, but the clarify will be better as will low light

Vx6 or is it a newer HD? Generally the HDs feel like they are mostly on par with overall quality of the shv line though they each have their strengths
