What does your view out the office window look like today?
Where I'm working this morning, there are 32 cows grazing outside. Hard to focus...

watching the interactions and heirarchy between them is fascinating. They make so many barely audible noises to commmnicate.

I've got several deer feeders outside my office window.

Unfortunately, there's no corn in any of them, the only animals around them are my employees, and not enough people are lining up to buy them.

The first time I was in the woods and had a herd of elk graze through, I was amazed at all the little noises they make to each other. I was kinda sad when they left.

I work in the polar opposite of hell (literally and metaphorically). I presently office in Pagosa Springs, CO.

The hours are long, I'm always on call, the job is often draining & messy, and the pay isn't the best. But the work is by far the most fulfilling thing I've ever done- and the retirement package is out of this world.

Plus, it doesn't hurt that my job regularly finds me in deep in the mountains, sitting around a campfire, summiting a peak, sharing a blind, cutting meat, trekking through the snow, or floating a river with people. Not too shabby field work.

Oh- and we are always looking for "a few good men"...

I was out inspecting bridges after the earthquake 2 weeks ago. Snapped a pic of my coworker while we we're out the Glenn Highway.

Not too long ago, I stopped conference call with a NY investment bank to share with them the fact that two fawns were chasing each other outside my window while a doe feasted on my shrubs!

40 yrs ago I had an office in Killeen at the corner of Ave. A and North Gray Street across from the Cowhouse Motor Hotel. When new management took over the motel they hired cops and private security to evict the pimps and their stable of women. Was an interesting day to be sure.
This was before the crack epidemic which I imagine added another dimension to that cesspool.

My office is a little cramped, noisy, and has a bad draft with the windows off most of the year. It's definitely outdoors, and the view can't be beat though.
