To my great shame I have to admit that I am a bad gun collector and do not own a M1.
No, this is about loading 8 round clips for a handgun. I'm tired of doing it by hand and need a clip loader, one that won't damage the stupid clips. Those things are not cheap.

Moonclips are a pain in the ass to load by hand.

I find the moon clips much harder to get the spent casings out of than into. I have an L-Comp.

I personally don't find loading moonclips that much more of a PITA than stuffing magazines, but a simple stripper tool is worth every bit of the few $ they cost.

We have about 14 mfbarnes on here. We always have, we just didn't know it.
Get the plastic ones for practice
Also try different types of brass.
I didn't know you could get brass out of a moon clip without a tool - at least not without bending the clip.

S&W 627.
I'll be using it in USPSA, Steel Challenge and local falling steel matches for 2019.
Because revolver rules are even worse than regular rules for IDPA, I'm going to be shooting a Model 10 in IDPA this year. Moons for the 627, Comp 3s for the 10.
