$399. Made by old country BBQ pits. Anybody have one? Looking for something for the back yard for hanging out. Cooking will probably be limited to hotdogs, smores, or some deer sausage just because it's already lit. #1 requirement is it last for a long time out in the weather. Is there a better option?

I bought one for each of my managers for Christmas last year. I know they use them a lot and are pleased with them.

Look at the thickness. The better quality ones would be 3/16" or thicker. Just make sure you clean out the ash when you are done with.

Another option depending on your location, is to contact the Ag chapter at your local high school. A lot of them now have CNC tables and can make you a fire pit with whatever logos you want and probably would be cheaper.

Have one. Love it. Going on 5 years of use. Would buy again.

My welder uncle took the Bucees design and made them thicker with better materials. Also does custom cutouts on the side of them.

Has one sitting in his garage that he's not really advertising but I'm sure he'd sell it.

Is yours made by Old Country BBQ? A few years ago they were selling stuff made by All Seasons.

Its not an All Seasons. I don't remember the name, but its pretty heavy, swing gate, foot rest. At the time when I purchased, I thought the prices were better than any place selling quality fire pits.

I can get some pictures later if that would help.

I was going to mention Wilkes badaxx pits. Until I checked the prices.

Is he around CS? If so, could you please send his contact info to toledo321 at aol.com?

Check out your local Facebook marketplace. I bought one from a guy who makes them. It's big, thick, heavy with rails to put your feet up. There's tons on FB. Here's a cool one with Astros logo ... https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2464778273562402/

Bucees used to get the really nice ones from Wilkes Bad Ass Pits, until Wilkes kept raising the price on them. I went to Wilkes directly and got a custom made Aggie fire pit.

A lot of the fire pits at Buccee's come from a spin off company of Boss Game systems in Bryan. They don't build them but they do oversee the design and quality control. They are good pits for the money. No matter what pit you get, it will rust out if you leave ash in it and let it get wet. You can get a heavier pit that will take longer to rust out but it will happen eventually..

CS78, get with me if you want one locally. I can probably set up a deal for you.

I'm looking for one like this. Doesn't even have to be new. Any leads in Houston?

Dad got one from Buc-ee's a couple of years ago and it's been surprisingly not bad. He put it in the middle of a bunch of cedar elms but they're still alive so I guess he doesn't use it much.

Found mine at a bar none feed store, Diamondback Pits out of Uvalde makes them. Mine is going strong after five years with regular use. I bought the one with the Argentinian style grill that lowers up and down. Makes for an easy reverse sear going from my primo at a low heat and then searing over a mesquite fire. I highly recommend them..,think it was $400-500 or so.Great customer service...

Does anyone know the current pricing and sizes of the fire pits at Buc-ee's? Prefer one with the grill grate that can swing over the fire.

I got this one this summer. I think it was $500. I like it a lot.

It measures about 50" across, IIRC. It's sold as a 36" put, though. I think that's just the fire pit and doesn't include the edge.

I think this is the same pit/manufacturer: https://texasstargrillshop.com/products/old-country-bbq-pits-36-fire-pit
