Couple questions: what gauge pipe did you use? Wire welder or stick?

Also, if you figured out a breakdown of cost of materials. That would be awesome.

I don't know how the sealer affects things, but most water based concrete stains are not UV resistant and can fade over time. Hopefully you don't have too much direct sun there and it won't be an issue.


Great work btw. I'm planning to do some concrete counters in my kitchen. I like the pour-in-place method....

If you don't have one, might be good to get a fan on that porch to move air and smoke. Might get stifling with everything rocking in the summer depending on air flow.

Sorry for the late reply. Broke it down as best I could from receipts. I used 16ga 1" square tubing and a cheap flux core wire welder I picked up at Harbor Freight for $85.

The stain I got was also from Concrete Countertop Solutions. It is water based but impregnated with a UV protectant for outdoor use.
