Is it okay to use shredder on Texas Goatweed after a freeze? I want to get rid of that crap, stuff spreads like wildfire. I was hoping to cut sooner, but the rain made the ground too muddy to do anything. I just didn't know what y'all recommend. I was thinking of shredding now and spraying in Spring. It's only a few patches, but they're large patches that take up about 6-8 acres.

I think it's actually called Woolly Croton:

I think you would be doing mostly for aesthetic purposes now, depending upon your use this winter and next spring. They are shallow-rooted and mine are already falling over, helped by stock walking over the plants. Shredding might help them decompose more quickly this winter.
If you have small ruminants on that pasture and they have to graze closely, shredding now can leave a bunch of punji sticks that can poke eyes, depending on shredding height.
Mostly it would just make the pasture look better.
