Patagonia has been a lifelong dream of mine. This thread and especially your pictures has inspired me to do my best to get there within the next 5-7 years. Already showed it to my wife and she said to add it to the bucket list of trips. We try to do 1 major and 2 or 3 minor trips a year. Thanks OP!

I'm really glad to hear yall have enjoyed reading this. I had a great time typing it up reliving everything. Again, I appreciate all the kind words and feedback. It was a joy experiencing those moments, and as the old saying goes: photos don't do it justice.

Evidently, they look for articles or anecdotes that can spin more towards the 'giving' side of things. Totally get it from their side, so it's a no-go on that avenue but it's all good.

Bumping this excellent thread since we are going to be covering a lot of the same ground starting one week from today.

I'd love to do the TDP hike but it is not in the cards this time since our kids are a bit young.

While searching Puerto Natales for AirBnBs I came across a listing for a truck with travel trailer so I'm toying with the idea of renting that and camping just outside the park.

The wife and I had a fly fishing trip scheduled in Argentina about 10 years ago. The night before, Brien broke his leg in a lacrosse game and we had to cancel. Have never made it and don't know if we ever will. Maybe one day.

You could always look at doing a day hike to either Glaciar Grey or to Las Torres. Either will be worth your while. Have fun!

Will be taking a very similar trip in about a month. Santiago to Punta Arenas, doing the W Trek, then back to Santiago for about a day or so before heading back.

Going to be pretty chilly in about a month's time, but really looking forward to the trip.
