Sadly after being hog free for the past five years I have been on a lease we now have hogs coming in.

I am looking for recommendations for a solar light that you attach to the feeder. I had one a few years ago at another lease and it petered out on me.

TIA

I picked one of these up at academy earlier this month. I ended up attaching a magnet to the back for quick change out on feeders and have been really happy with it. Its really bright and can see well from at least 100 yds whats under the feeder. Not sure how long it will last but for the price, I'm happy with it.

I might be able to post pics in use this weekend

Perfect - thanks for the suggestion. That is half price of what I was looking at!!

Where did you pick up the magnets? Home Depot/Lowe's?

I've had one on my feeder for over a year and a half. Only problem I have are the raccoons ripping it off occasionally.

Walmart solar path lights work just as well as red or green lights when mounted on a stationary object. Usually only takes a few days for animals to get used to them.

I got 10lbs rated magnets off amazon. Using 3 gives it a really strong hold. I don't attach to the motor but to the barrel that way the coons can't get to it. I'll see if I can stay late enough tonight to get a pic in action

I have one of those as well. Worked great when there were only two or three pigs. Problem was I started getting groups of 30 and 40. All it takes is one pig to spook from the light and they all spook. I hunted pigs for years with green lights then thy wised up. I finally bought atn xsights and haven't looked back. Hopefully your lights work for you. If they spook consider the x sight ii. They are on sale now that their new 4K is out.

Bucees has a nice one for $60, the Lil'Squealer, I mounted it to a 8-10' t-post a few feet from the feeder and it works great. Has 3 modes, i use the turn on at dusk in dim mode that brightens to motion. Built in solar and batteries. Sucker is bright when on full.
