Interested in the P229 but curious of the first 2 letters of the serial number. I've carried one on duty for the past 17 years. Retiring soon and they won't let me buy mine. First on had 40,000+ rounds thru it and still worked like a charm. Would love to find something with a SN in the range of the first or second one I carried.

If Fido's 229 isn't what you're looking for I've got one that has <1000 rds through it that I would consider selling/trading. My first pistol and never really thought about letting it go but sounds like you might get more use out of it than I do these days.

Not trying to poach a sale from Fido, just throwing it out there a second option.
