i had a stump removed from my backyard that is in a good spot for an outdoor pit. i went down the road of maybe doing brick / stone, but after going to a buddies hunting property and seeing his fire pit set up last weekend i think i want to go the metal route.

what i'm looking for is pretty much welded sheet metal with outdoor type designs around it. its a 3x3 square. looking online i couldnt find any shops that make these or had stock options available.

does anyone know of companies that would make these or have the capability?

located in dallas, but happy to go get it / have it shipped / etc.

thanks!

Youtube "Allens Welding and woodworking" and contact him, he works out of his garage and for the quality he does, he is definitely cheap.

These guys work at a big industrial shop just south of TCU and get the materials there and do the work at home in their barn in Weatherford. Great pits, thick gauge/heavy, good price, you pick up in FTW.

Op. Send me a PM and I'll get you the name of the guy who did our Roof for our Ranger.

He had some really great looking fire pits he made and had I have had room in the truck, I would have taken it on the spot

*EDIT*

Upon review of the post right above mine, that is the guy we used. Can't recommend Cody enough. He does great stuff and is affordable

Depending on what part of DFW, contact the local Ag Mechanics program at the high school. Most have CNC machines nowadays and can do a quality job for a reasonable price.

I have an A&M-themed Wilkes pit as well. It's great.
