Ok folks, I'm in the Houston area and if anyone is familiar with the cabling on top drive trucks I could use some help. My throttle cable is jamming and my ****** cable is disconnected somewhere. I'd be willing to pay or barter a cull hunt for someone that can fix/work on the truck.

If you aren't familiar with Performance Top Drives in Three Rivers try them. Maybe they will diagnose with you over the phone.

I just replaced ours with a new marine throttle cable. Not hard at all...just followed what was already there and replaced the old with new. Ours broke on a mesquite limb.

Come bring it by our place. On north side close to IAH. We make most of the cables for marine shops that are custom. We stock the parts and assemble them in house.

I would imagine with his throttle cable jamming and transmission cable disconnected, it's not going anywhere at the moment.

If you are going to replace the cable I wouldn't use anything but aircraft cable. I've had mine for over 18 years and haven't had any problems.
