Ok, I want to address something. There has been some back and forths on other places talking about the prices of these. Keep in mind, and I said this from the very beginning, that I wanted to do this as a charity fundraiser. In regards to the prices of these, yes, it's high but factor a few things in:
These cups retail for $12.99. On top of that, if you were going to do a one off custom engraving, you're going to be set back what, $20-$25? See where my price on these is going? Now, let's talk where is this money going... We're doing a custom Armadillo AR15 for Oath Outdoors to raffle off for a fundraiser. Armadillo Upper/lower, nice bcg, top end barrel, great trigger, good stock and nice handguard... plus we're doing a custom cerakote (KG gunkote to be exact) on this thing. Parts alone on this will be over what the difference is on the cups. Even at my cost, the barrel is about $225 (maybe more, we'll see how the budget for it goes), the BCG is $100, trigger is $192, handguard is going to be well over $100... There's $650 in my cost and that doesn't include... the majority of the gun.
Just wanted to clear the air. Think of me what you will, but this was always about doing something for someone else. The only part of the idea of this that was mine was to do it on an Rtic. The logo is someone else's. Texags was cool to let us use their name on it. No idea who actually coined "We know stuff", but bravo to you. I'm literally just putting it all together. Now, that being said, I'm going to go back to being excited about putting together a badass rifle for some lucky person.
