Since my old truck was nearing the "best if used by" date, and the back seat wouldn't hold a full grown human and a car seat at the same time, I am now the proud co-owner of a new truck. I've never had a spray-in liner (always bought used with a liner installed by previous owner), so I have no idea what's a good price or not. Obviously there will be some regional variation, but clearly a "that's waaaaaay to much" ceiling. What does it typically run where you live?

I think my LineX costs $375, give or take $50. And congrats on the new truck!

What Coach reports is consistent with my experience. Around $400 with tax.

I've had Line-X and a dealer installed Rhino liner. I would recommend Line-X based on what I've seen. It may just be the installer, it Rhino liner sesms to be much less durable.

I believe for a 6-1/2' bed, linex ran $450. I've had a rhino and when wet they are slicker than cat scat, unless you pay extra to add abrasives.

Having done a diy two part liner...about half way through, I'd have paid someone $400 to finish prepping the bed.

I just asked two places here (Katy/West Houston) and the Rhino lining place was like $450ish and the LineX was $500. They were doing a special on the LineX where the Ultra (or whatever is one step better than basic LineX??) was like $25 more than the regular stuff. Whatever it was it made it pointless to go regular LineX. I haven't pulled the trigger yet, but I need to do it pretty quick.

Any rec's for a installer in the Houston area? I kinda of work all over town, so location isn't a major deal.

I've considered pulling the carpet out of my yukon and doing line x- is this possible and if so how expensive. It's an 05 yukon xl and with kids and dogs it has seen better days and I love the idea of spraying it off.

Had bullet liner installed 3 years ago in dfw and I'm happy with it. No issues at all. Think I paid $275 then

Don't. You'll hate your life. The interior becomes one huge echo chamber without the carpet/padding. Also the floor will get hot enough from the engine/exhaust to be uncomfortable. I ran my Bronco that way for a while and always got a headache from the noise.

If the carpet is in bad shape/stained, you can pull it out and hit it with some purple power and a pressure washer. Let it air dry and it'll look almost like new. You can get a new carpet kit for ~$400.

I didn't think about the noise. That's a great point

Edit - NM. I just realized you weren't talking about only the back cargo area.

Why cant you just buy a bunch of cans of Flexseal and do it yourself.

I got a Rhino installed for 395 w/o tax in Round Rock last Friday. Got a quote from a Line-x installer for $425

This! The ultimate cheap skate/bargain shopper solution. A couple gallons of flex seal and a bag of play sand should easily equal any professional bed liner.
