Not going to lie, I thought Larue had a good chance of going tits up after their barrel snafu but they're doing something right. I wonder if someone took over the business side.

Quote:

We introduced our MBT in early 2015 at $250 each. Then made some efficiency changes that made that amount way more than our profit model called for. So we came down to $200. Then consolidated the whole trigger shop into one large trigger hall But that proved so efficient, we added the "I can wait price of $125", then we made more ergonomic changes in-house that smoothed through-put even more, so we had the $99 MBT sale. That got us somewhere past the 40,000th MBT trigger made, sold, or installed in LaRue rifles. "So Mark, what's with the $87 bucks?" Glad you asked. I want to ship the 50,000th MBT trigger before Christmas.

Enjoy the savings :-)

Kind of funny. Someone posted the $99 price a few days ago and some one said they were waiting until the hit 60 or 70 dollars. Can't remember the exact price. I remember thinking good luck, they won't go below $99. Guess I was wrong. Also glad I didnt buy then.

Just put one of these in my new build and it's a sold trigger. I picked it up for 99 and it took a little over a month to make it to me.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is the barrel snafu you speak of?

Basic idea is that Lothar used to make their barrels. Larue and them split. Larue took a long ass time to get up to speed.

Looks like they've integrated LEAN into their trigger business, and have been able to cut costs. Good for them.

Been looking to upgrade the trigger on my 6920 with a geissele of some type and the larues have caught my attention. By no means am I really proficient enough to really appreciate a geissele but would have to assume one of these larue triggers would be a fine enough upgrade from the stock trigger for my intermediate marksmen self.

Any thoughts by current owners?

I have them in multiple AR's & have been extremely pleased with them. They are a great deal at their current price. Once you upgrade triggers you will wonder how you ever shot with that horrible factory trigger.

Ordered one last week for my Grendel build. Checked the order status today and it said back ordered. Wonder how long they'll take to get them back in stock? For $87 I guess I can't complain, but I was hoping to get the build finished by next weekend.

What's the benefit of a two stage trigger versus a single stage? The factory trigger on my DPMS sucks so I'm thinking about ordering one of these LaRues.

I use my AR for plinking mostly but will likely hunt with it too.

This is really a different strokes for different folks type of thing in regards to triggers. I like and prefer two stage triggers because I can stage the trigger right before I take a shot and if I end up not liking the shot I can release the trigger and not be committed like I would be with a single stage. I have SSA-E's from Geissele in multiple AR's including the AR I hunt with.

Though, single stages can usually be shot faster in succession and are more popular for things like 3 gun. I personally don't prefer single stages for most uses because I find that I slap the trigger more frequently. EyeGuy prefers them.

This is almost like asking what's the difference in a flat trigger shoe and a curve or bowed trigger shoe: personal preference.
