This may end of being a bit of a ramble post so sorry and forgive me.
My FIL was telling me a story about one of his coworkers from work. The guy was driving home and went to change lanes in Houston from the left to the center lane. When he changed lanes he heard someone honking at him so he jerked back into his lane. Once back in his lane he heard a loud "pop". The guy thought one of his tires may have blown.
So the guy proceeds to start to slow down but notices that everything seems to be normal. He then notices light shining in from his rear passenger door. The guy pulls over and discovers that the loud "pop' was a gunshot and a bullet hole in his door.
He calls HPD and files a report. This happened at the end of April and as of this weekend HPD still hasn't opened a case or seem to be interested in opening a case. The guy said the car was Nissan Sentra Sedan plate# JJY3835.
So I told my FIL I would bring the case to the great minds of the OB to get advice and/or any info yall can give on what the guy can do going forward. And yes the obvious advice of trying to make sure someone isn't in your blind spot.
Short version: A guy my FIL knows was shot at while driving and looking for advice.
