I've been looking at pulling the trigger on one of these for a while. Worth the price? Anyone else have experience with a woodwind?
I bought a Woodwind for Christmas on the OB recommendation. Love it. I have the sear box like 2ndChance and really love the versatility. I put my cast iron skillet on the sear box last night to make a bunch of bacon so I wouldn't stink up my house.

Camp Chef has also been great to work with. I had an issue with the auger motor (mostly my fault) and they sent me a brand new one. I really wanted advice on fixing it myself but they went above and beyond.
This is exactly why I buy camp chef everything now. Their customer service is beyond great and you just don't get that any more. If you are not on Camp Chef Smoker Smokers on Facebook you should join. A ton of great recipes, knowledge and discounts on gear.

The Camp Chefs looked nice, but I really don't want to rely on a propane fired sear box to finish off steaks.

I'm looking at pulling the "Traeger" on one of these(pun intended).

The thicker gauge Academy version. Much large surface area. Anyone have any experience?

Triton Gourmet Pellet Grill

Thanks.

I ended up going with a Green Mountain Grill brand. Be careful of that claimed surface area. The upper shelf is usually included in that, and you really don't have much head room clearance above it for larger meats. The GMG brands claim smaller surface area, but you can fit more on the main grill, and you can buy a secondary smoking rack accessory for not too much more. They have a lot of headroom also. Also confirm the max temp of the grill. Many won't go above 400deg F.
