Seriously? First all the YouTube banning, and now Reddit is going too? I know Reddit is super lefty and all, but still, this anti-gun hypocrisy is going to ruin our country.

I hadn't heard of it until now. Then again, I've never been on reddit
The r/gundeals mods contacted reddit to try and reverse the ban. I've read that more people are going to voat, but the following is very small still compared the original gundeals sub.oceanag13 said:
I've been waiting for this post to pop up... that was pretty much the last thing I browsed Reddit for (other than r/CFB). I went ahead and deleted my account yesterday.
Are there any good alternatives? I found https://gun.deals/ and https://voat.co/v/Gundeals/ but neither are on par with the finds you would get off r/GunDeals.
I think there are a ton a people doing just that. But what needs to happen, is for one of them website gurus to make a youtube 2.0. Read that full30 is trying to fill this need, but you have to be invited if you want to create content.BenderRodriguez said:
On the same note, YouTube's actions are more concerning. Lots of good knowledge is going to be removed that needs to be reloacated to a more freedom friendly server.
I read that one of the channels is moving their content over to PornHub.BenderRodriguez said:

Basically, if your video "promotes" guns or gun components or anything related to guns, they are going to delete your channel. "Promotes" is a pretty subjective term. It's a matter of time until everything gun related is removed from YouTube.oceanag13 said:
Forgive my ignorance.. but who all will be affected in that purge?
It's hard to believe YouTube would risk the traffic that guys like Demo Ranch and Hickok45 bring in.

Seriously...how hard is it to buy a domain and just advertise on youtube about it and make that go viral and basically transfer everything?
Same with gun deals.
Why are we relying on third party dirtbags for this? I think this move is a great move for the free market and gun owners.
This. I personally think that an overall social media platform that flat out would refuse to wade into politics in regards to banning things could do well, the problem is that it would be so far behind the rest of them that it would probably only attract the fringes.BenderRodriguez said:BrazosDog02 said:

Because it's isolating.
Look at the other thread about hunting in Texas declining. Is it good or bad for future gun rights for people who aren't currently gun owners or competitors to see informational videos about gun ownership, shooting, etc on the biggest platforms on the internet where they go for all their other information and entertainment?
OK...I have to disagree..or maybe we aren't talking about the same thing.TheEyeGuy said:This. Because it takes guns out of the view of mainstream audiences. We have a problem in both hunting and gun worlds in that our numbers may be going up but the percentages are going down. Both are constantly being bombarded by the left and we don't really have a good way to fight back. I love the idea of a guntube in regards to having a centralized place of making it easy to find gun stuff, but those people who are in the middle that would stumble across it for whatever reason now will never do so.BrazosDog02 said:OK...I have to disagree..or maybe we aren't talking about the same thing.TheEyeGuy said:This. How is creating a different youtube isolating? You can't find porn on youtube....you go to a video site specifically for it. Youtube is for cat videos. Someone created youtube...someone else create a guntube. Instead of typing in www.youtube.com and searching...you type in www.gunvideos.com or whatever and type there.
I fail completely to see how this is in any way like the hunting thread or isolating.
What am I missing here?
I don't have to explain. She already knows who's at fault...crosswalk said:I read that one of the channels is moving their content over to PornHub.BenderRodriguez said:

Now you can have a good reason to explain to your wife why your internet history shows so many visits to PornHub.
