Treat for grubs, treat with a curative pesticide like carbaryl (Sevin). You need to kill the grubs, and many of the grub pesticides are preventative and worthless in the Spring. Also, tough this time of year, let the yard dry out.

As posted earlier you got a grub problem if they are going crazy. I'm running around 20 a night now but back in the day of snowball the dog it was hundreds per night.

I don't necessarily mind the possums. It's the fleas they bring with them that I mind.
