Was he in the paper with it?

I think I remember seeing one shot in del Rio in the local paper.

While I'm sure info from a TPWD should be enough to calm the natives, I suspect this thread will be carry on.

My best friend from A&M has a trail camera picture of a mountain lion on their family farm in Schulenburg. It's not in Waller County but I was really surprised it was in that part of the world. Sightings are certainly on the rise and in unexpected places.

I'm not saying a cat is responsible for this event.

Do you mind sharing that picture?

Not saying it isn't one but we have seen a lot of pictures that are "mountain lions" and they're really bobcats.

I may not have lived in Aggieland as long as some of you, and I may be female, but I know for a fact that wasn't a mountain lion that attacked that mini horse because there aren't any mountains in Waller County.

This. Sorry, but we get too many stories with supposed pics that never turn out.

Compared to most locations that get put on here, pretty common. Not unheard of at all.

I will say, since I left, there seems to be a legit report out of the Greyson/Lamar area. That is a nice change.

I see opportunity.

Coyote Vest Mark II. For mini horses.

If you rebrand it as a "Predator Vest" guaranteed to protect against mountain lions- I will gladly invest in that start-up!

I like this, but maybe guarantee it against the north american black jaguar instead so you can't be sued for false advertising...

I can almost guarantee her vet did not say it was definitely a big cat attack.

I had a client in my clinic last week that had a chupacabra on her porch. People are crazy

I also hear the Meth addiction has recently escalated in Waller County. Coincidence maybe!

Yeah I'd imagine that was him. He told everyone that would listen about that damn cat haha.

What did he do with it? I'm curious and no judgements... always think about what I would do if I saw one while hunting at our lease in the Hill country and my typical conclusion is if I am not going to full body mount it, I am not going shoot it.

I always thought I wanted to shoot one, but now I agree with this sentiment. I think I would rather be able to get a picture and then let him walk.

390 in old independence isn't even in Waller county it's in Washington county.

I live 3 miles from this location and it's most likely a coyote because I've got them around my place all the time.

This threads fantastic. I love so called "sightings"

That said, I have a few close Native American friends here in TX who will swear on their ancestors graves that things like the Wendigo and Skinwalkers are real, true, and roaming the reservations and remote areas in New Mexico and Arizona.

And these are folks who are otherwise about as close to normal, stand up men you could imagine.
CNN is an enemy of the state and should be treated as such.
