They're soft shooters, lots of fun to shoot. Haven't heard much negative about the storm carbines and they've been out long enough we'd know by now if they had problems.

If you already have a load of beretta magazines they make sense. Great for kids and women to get comfortable shooting on.

Given the rise of arm braces for ARs, calibers like 300 blk etc I'm leaning more and more towards preferring something shooting a rifle caliber in that size package if I'm buying a gun I might use to protect life or home, but PCCs are a ton of fun.

It's the "wife's" gun but we have one in 9mm. I've shot PCC with it and it's a blast. Bought it off a stranger at a gun show so I don't know how many rounds have been down it. I've put at least 2000 through it with zero malfuctions.

It was our first foray into "rifles" and it really helped get the wife on board with ARs, so there's that.

I have the 9 mm version, I love it it's a soft shooter and I have an aftermarket trigger in it. Under 50 yards it's an excellent excellent gun, it's what I carry underneath the backseat of my truck. I will be in college station this weekend if you want to shoot it let me know and I can make that happen.

We have one in 9mm. We both really enjoy shooting it, but my wife has essentially made it hers as we switched to left side ejection. I have never shot it for grouping - it is mainly a plinker for us. I would estimate ours has seen 7-800 rounds with no failures of any type.

Be aware that the 9mm version comes in three different variants. I don't know how many versions the .45 comes in, but be sure you know what you are getting.

Been wanting one in 9mm for a while but also considering the Ruger.

Used to have one in 9mm. Very fun gun to shoot at steel with. I used to carry it around when walking around the lease and killed many pigs with it. Wish they would dip into the 10mm a little bit.

Do you have a set budget? Never heard much good about anything from Hi-Point, but while I have had a lot of experience with the 9mm Beretta, I've never been exposed to the HP.

FWIW, if I was looking at a small carbine, have you investigated the CZ Scorpion?
