There were a large number of ducks last night on two playas across the road from each other about a mile north of a local feed lot. (Or is that one playa with a road going across the middle?) Also, quite a few on the ground in the surrounding fields.

Where was that taken, looks familiar to me.

I've been there plenty, and Arizona beats it. Many parts of Arizona.

Sunsets at Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, and Sedona are hard to beat. Had those 3 days in a row last summer. Those are nice pics.

I have little doubt that you are correct. It's just that we don't have any of those pesky trees and hills to block our view, so we get incredible sunsets, incredibly often.

Lived in AZ for 6 years, they have some beautiful sunsets.

That being said, few things are prettier than a sunset over the water for me. All depends on your perspective I suppose.

And finally, sunset on the last hunt. Minutes before we said goodbye to my favorite dog. That last 10 minutes of running in the tallgrass brought back some of her youth but she was in so much pain from it, it made the choice a little easier as we walked to where the vet was.
