Not sure. I think that generation didn't like them for some reason. I know I Can't do LRs. But I do know the barrel is only stamped as 22long

Longs still get made and aren't impossible to find, or that much more than standard CCI rounds so not too big of a deal.

My first .22 was a Rossi pump. Still have it.
