Does anyone have any good recommendations for deer processing places around the Houston area?

Taking a deer to Pete's Fine Meats this afternoon, after researching it last night.

Pete's tamales are really good. I'm not a big fan of their sausage.

Call them first. My buddy said he tried a week or two ago and they were full or something. He had to go somewhere else.

I'm a big fan of Junior's Smokehouse in Highland. I get sausage made and it's the best that I've had.

I have used Juniors Smokehouse before and was very happy with the results. But they are on the opposite side of town from where I am coming from, otherwise I would probably go back to them.

Has anyone used Arnolds Deer Processing in Hempstead?

I have heard Arnold's is pretty good. I plan on trying them for my next deer. I know a lot of people that use Midway in Katy. It's not bad but pricey for sure.

Huge Arnold's fan here. Reasonable prices and pretty good turn around time. Their boudin (especially hot variety) is outstanding.

I use Stanton's Meat Market in Alvin. Great sausage, jerky sticks, etc. Their jalapeno cheese sausage is some of the best I've had.

Greak's in Alvin is where I've gone with the last couple of deer. Jalapeno cheese is great there as well.

I live about 5 minutes down the road from Midway in Katy, but I drive all the way to Belleville Meat Market to get my deer meat processed. I don't care for the flavor of Midways sausage, and I don't like that they mix meat from different orders together. Belleville guarantees that you get back your exact meat, and everything I have had from there tastes excellent.

Bellville Meat Market hands down is the best. You will be coming back for processing year after year like so many other hunters are doing. I believe they now have a location in Hempstead in addition to their main location in Bellville. I think one of the owners is an aggie.

I just picked up a deer from Arnold's in Hempstead. The jalepeno cheese linked sausage is good...I would give it an 8/10...good flavor and great cheese. Could use a bit more spice and amount of jalapeos to make it a 10/10...but again it's really good. Spicy pan sausage is a 7/10...not gamey, pretty good flavor but missing that little extra kick...maybe needs more garlic.

B&W on shepherd is good, not that I want to add to their six week wait time

There is a good place in Conroe that does venison boudain. It is pretty awesome. Pretty sure it is called H&S.

Bellville Meat Market is legit. They will not let you down.

Dropped my order at Bellville Wednesday evening. Got a call Friday evening it was ready. Picked it up this morning.

Caveat: I took my meat in already deboned. The processing is cheaper.

I live in Bellville, use Eckerman's in Shelby.
