I'm new to carrying. Most of the time, I wear my shirt tucked in. I just bought an IWB tuckable holster. What position do you typically wear your firearm?

5 o'clock IWB usually untucked
Appendix 1 o'clock with a DARA Kydex holster.

4 o'clock IWB. Not against 1 o'clock Appendix carry. Will change to Appendix when/if gut gets smaller...
4-5 most days IWB tucked in dress shirt or polo. Glock 19 mostly in a Bravo Dos Torsion using a single soft loop, if I need to be even more discreet I use my Glock 43 in the same position with Raven Vanguard 2 with the clip.
I tried AIWB, however I can not seem to find a comfortable position to sit and drive. It also feels like it prints more in that position, negative chest skinny guy syndrome doesn't help this.

Mostly OWB just behind my hip. However, I do carry my Shield appendix.
Is this why bell bottom jeans were invented and worn?
Appendix in a Dara holster. Going to give cross draw a trial run in a Wright leather works holster.
5 o'clock in a white hat usually untucked, but even with a polo tucked it works great. Biggest benefit I saw was getting an actual gun belt. You may think your belt is sufficient , it is NOT.

Appendix for the past 7 years. Beretta 92 compact in an armiger solutions holster. Might switch to jm custom kydex at some point.

Just received my SoB, and I might not be the best judge of comfort as this holster is the first I've ever worn IWB, but that thing is friggin awesome.
Appendix IWB 12:00-1:00 tucked.
Typically 4:00 with both my 1911 and XDs. I have a Milt Sparks VM2 for both. I bought a really nice OWB holster for my 1911 but haven't had an opportunity to carry with it. It's almost too pretty to cover up with a shirt.
If I'm going casual (exercise shorts) or need deep concealment I'll use Thunderwear.

Sometimes in the winter when I know I will be wearing a coat all day, I will carry 3 o clock in an OWB holster just because it's slightly more comfortable.

Appendix with a JM4 QCC usually because I constantly wear gym shorts. Sometimes I do the same setup at 4:00 if I am wearing jeans or khaki shorts

I prefer 2:30ish. Not on the hip, but just in front of it, either IWB or OWB. Because of this, all my holsters tend to have at least a 15 deg cant.
It prints less, it is faster to draw from in front of the hip than behind it, and I'm too fat for true appendix carry.

Good luck to you OP. You'll probably go through a financial and psychological beat down to finally get to where you want to be with carry. I've got a drawer full of holsters and still experimenting, but I'm narrowing it down. You just have to tell yourself that its never going to be 100% comfortable, but comforting.

Gives me an idea for a thread.
Bet the OB could set up a heck of a collection of lightly used holsters to sell to other OBers at a discount from things they've tried that didn't work, or gun they've sold they still have holsters too, etc....
And to repeat my same advice in this thread I always give: The holster is only the second most important piece of carrying comfortably. You MUST use a good gun belt or it'll never be comfortable, guaranteed.

Beretta PIco in a Recluse holster in the front pocket.
I am required to wear Black "dressy" pants and have shirt tucked in so that is the best I have found so far.

3:30 for both IWB and OWB, slide immediately behind the point of my hip. As mentioned, a good gun belt will make all the difference in both comfort and concealment.
