No camping recs, but i once had a guy tell me broken bow is the place to go since Dequeen is dry. You can get yourself a bottle downtown in Broken Bow.

Beavers bend and hochatown (sp?) State parks are the obvious go-tos. Anything specific you're looking for?

Lori's cousin's house is where it's at. Just don't talk too big a game.

We camped at Beavers Bend back in March. If you fly fish, camp in the red zones for fly fishing, and if you want to fish, but don't fly fish, camp in the blue zones. Take the small white rooster tail spinners and have fun with the trout. BB gets crowded on the weekend.

The lake was really low when we were there, I think they were working on the damn. Hopefully that's done. If it is done, the lake spots would be fine with good weather.

There are no campsites in the Red Zones at Beavers Bend State Park.

Best plan to avoid crowds and have more peace and quiet is to camp at Carson Creek Park on the lake and then drive 10 minutes down the road to Beavers Bend when you want to go to the river.

Would like an area with a fire pit and maybe a grill. Will be sleeping in a tent.

During the day I would like to rent a kayak and fish some.

I'll ask the folks that work at the casino where they recommend. I'll be there Wednesday and Thursday to work on their marketing plan with them. I'll report back.

Lots of cool places to go for after the day fishing in Hochatown, though. Got a brewery and winery and some good restaurants. And you can come see us if ya wanna play some, lol.

Let me know ahead of time if you do, and what days you'll be there, and maybe I'll be around to say hi.

I got a nice cabin with a hot tub and satellite you can rent and put the kids out by the creek in a tent.

For the record I agree with 87FF. The park always seems full these days camp up by the lake.
