Checking to see if there are any mule pro owners out there and how they like their purchases? Also Is there anyone that bought the fx and wishes they had gotten the fxt or vice versa. Thanks for the replies.
I purchased the camo FXT in the spring and have been more than pleased with it. I have a lift with 28" tires and the ride is still unbelievably smooth. There are plenty of accessories out there to personalize it and make it your own, however, not as many as the Polaris but I haven't regretted the decision once.
I have both. Mule has smoother suspension and is more like a cadillac. Problem is that for some reason it is a dusty ride. Polaris is more fun to drive, but is a little rougher. But I also dont eat dust the entire time. I personally wont buy another Mule in all likelihood, but you are getting into Ford vs Chevy territory. Test drive both and go with what works for you.
A buddy has a Polaris 800 that he dislikes due to the amount of plastic. Holes in the floorboards and the seat won't stay in place because the plastic pegs broke.
I know older Mules had issues but not sure of the new ones. The guy I know that had Mules went to Gators.
About the only difference in FX and FXT is seating capacity. I bought the FXT a year ago and love it. The back seat is slightly higher than the front and it makes a difference with riders being able to see better.
The Mule is very smooth, even in rough terrain. Much smoother than a truck, I think.
My family has an older Polaris Ranger (2003 I think), and a 2017 Mule Pro FXT. The mule is by far smoother, and you can't imagine the difference the power steering makes. I've driven some of the newer Polaris rigs too and both are great rigs, but I'd recommend the mule hands down.
We got a 2015 Pro FXT with EPS a month after they came out. The Polaris was a blast, but my wife and daughter both loved the Kawasaki's ride and comfort, and I loved the convertible bed (I use it way more than I expected). I've replaced a drive belt but that's it.
I have a '16 FXT and love it. Looked at both the Ranger and Mule and felt the Mule had a better ride. I also like the covertable bed when I need more room. It's too early to tell how it will hold up, but it has a 3 year warranty vs 6 month on the Ranger.
