Currently have '12 Polaris diesel crew and looking to trade up to new 1000 series gas. Opinions on going from deisel to gas? Use mostly out on my acreage for general work and recreation as well as trailering to bird hunting during season.

when going to gas, make sure you're using ethanol free gasoline if the machine is going to be parking for long periods of time.

Or a fuel stabilizer.

I thought the fuel stabilizer affects the gasoline and not the ethanol?

I think Polaris requires you to use a stabilizer to not void the warranty

Stabilizer keeps the ethanol in suspension and keeps it from seperating.

Use StaBil 360 Marine grade.

Keeps the ethanol in emulsion so it doesn't mess up the soft goods in the fuel system.

I have the 900 gas. My second Polaris. Runs great.

You going to sell the diesel one? If so, can you give some more info?

TIA

I'm either going to sell it or trade it in to the dealer in Lancaster if he will "sweeten" his initial offer. It is in great shape, garage kept and driven by a 62 year old who put puts around my place in low gear. Never been mudding or pulled any implements. Pretty basic green crew model with aftermarket steel top and forward/rear led lite bars. Just basic Ranger as it came from dealer.

Would like to see this in writing, if it exists.

Fuel-injected small engines do not seem to suffer from gas w/ethanol to the same degree as the carburetor ones, in my experience (and I do treat the gas used in the non-injected engines).

I second this. Id rather not have the ethanol in anything i'm leaving in the heat.

Are you interested in my Polaris? About to make a decision on a new one and was just checking in with you.

I think I have this in my documentation somewhere.

I'll take a look in my file cabinet.
