So this is mostly outdoors. Last Sunday while wrestling with my two toddlers my 3.5 year old daughter decided to drive her knee into my right testicle. You know one of those shots that goes no holds bar into the nut with no give? Yea, that one.
So I've been hit in the junk before like most men and like most times this hurt like all hell. First the sharp pain the the groin and then the slow dull creep up the abdomain and eventually a little nausea. And then 20 minutes later you're back to normal.
Well the next morning, Memorial Day, I woke up with a morning wood and a dull pain in my right testicle. I thought maybe I had that morning wood for a while and developed a case of blue balls. Something I've never had thankfully but it was rather concerning and hurt to walk. So I talked to the wife and she decided that some relief would be necessary! F yea! Well that was fine until the relief came(lol) and then fear set in. There was blood in it! WTF?!
Off to the ER I went because it's Memorial Day and the family doc is closed. Luckily it's 10am and there's no wait. The doc, a woman, came in and felt the biys(no pleasure at all) and said it could be Torsion(when your jut twists and cuts off circulation). So off to an Emergency ultra sound. It comes back clean but they determine I have a bruise on my testicle and then blood is normal. The Doc tells me to get some pain less and stay off if it for a few days.
So naturally I fly to Tahoe for the week and do a little hiking like we had planned forever. Long story short, my testicle swoll up and got infected and now I'm in bed with a nut that looks like a tennis ball. Listen to your doctors and Tahoe is awesome!
