Now that it's daylight, blue shed looks more like green shed. We may have a branding conundrum.

Guys, I'm not talking about a hobbyist drone. We have military drones flown from halfway around the world, you'd think there is something that could handle getting surveillance in 50-70 mph winds.

Yep. The online used to be weather....now it takes 20min to load because of all the crap on it and suggested videos are like tmz. Sad. I liken it to the food network then and now, but they are only reacting to what the stupid people want. Let's be honest, there are many more stupid peopleEliminatus said:
That's it. Been veering away for years now but this event seals the deal.
100% done with The Weather Channel. The sensationalist antics are cringe worthy and downright embarrassing.
It's not even that good of weather coverage either.
I don't know; as I understand it it was likely the kiosk for the attendant but all my mom said was "It is part of the car wash business."aggiedata said:

This TwC guy leaning against the wind needs to be punched in the dick.
At this point the wind speed is a normal day at St. Andrews where he is. Digging his leg in to brace against that wind is just fake as **** now.
Last night the moron could have legit slipped and been washed away as low as he was walking into some flood waters. But now it's just silly

I've had several friends do this as well. I guess they think it's funny?
Out of state friends and family often have no grasp of how big Texas is, so they will pester you constantly about events that are hours away. It's easy to use the FB thing to reassure them.

All the coverage is in Houston and Galveston right now. It's windy and wet there right now. This concludes your update from Galveston and Houston.

We're about to drive to the West End of Galveston if possible. Any insights to road conditions would be helpful

Weather websites are like photo hosting websites. We all need a good one, and across the board they all suck.
I gave up on weather.com about a year ago. I use AccuWeather now but still not super happy with any options.
