from the show site. last year i thought they got 10 tools as well. so no extra gear. also sentence at the end ruins the single survival. last TEAM standing wins![]()
7 pairs of family members travel to Northern Vancouver Island, a remote and rugged region of British Columbia known as the "Wet Coast". Each duo will be separated from their loved one and dropped miles apart with 2 ultimate goals; navigate the brutally thick wilderness in an attempt to locate their family member and survive as long as they can, completely isolated and alone. The participants will only have the contents of their small backpacks, enough camera gear to record their experience and 10 tools split between them. Once reunited, each team must create their own shelters, pull food from the ocean, overcome harsh terrain, bitter cold, drenching downpours, contend with a host of deadly predators and each other. They will truly be on their own. No camera crew. No gimmicks. Last team standing wins.
don't items like rain gear and sleeping gear count as part of their 10 item load? if so, that will decrease the amount of other useful items dramatically.OE_Ag11 said:
thats what it is. last time the one contestant was allowed to choose 10 tools. this time it says 10 tools split between them, so 5 each, which same amount of tools total as the single person. until they find each other they wont have everything.

I don't really like the format change BUT what could make it very interesting is if they let a contestant continue alone if their partner decides to tap.
I do think that now, with a partner and presumably an increase of take along items, that the climate/ conditions should be worse. I'll miss the alone mental aspect of the game but who am I kidding I'm going to watch it either way. It'll still beat 90% of whats on TV.
Well they ain't the typical dirty Cajuns or cousins I was hoping for, but I'll stick with my early pick just because. I'd go with the Alaska boys as the other favorites and I think the wife loses too much weight and gets a medical evac.Tony Franklins Shoe said:
I'm in the same boat, the mind torture of being alone is part of what makes it a test. You can find a couple of dirty Cajun cousins and even in a harsh environment, they might stick it out for a couple of years. Plus I don't like having to read captions to understand what they would be saying.
No offense to dirty Cajuns.

He said his brother won't tell him he's upset...if my brother tapped before I could even find him, I'd never let him live it down.

One taps, they are both out.

Watching Ep 1 right now. The father and son duo they featured on this episode are my favorites so far.

Why the hell do some people sign up for this? And how do they pass these supposed tests?
