Setting out my 1st one ever. Hogs moved in after flooding last year and tearing up hay field. Figure I would trap a few for meat. Do's and dont's please.

Not entirely true. We had always believed this until in a week we caught hogs in our trap 4 out of 5 days. The first day we had 8 piglets. The second day we had 3 more piglets. The third day the hogs had been in the trap but pried open the gate and got out. We reset the gate and had 4 adult hogs with 6 piglets the fourth day. The fifth day we had 2 more piglets.Twelfthman99 said:
