No. I had him take measurements and I looked up the official dims online. It would have made it easier if I did have the medal, but I wasn't going to request it and he didn't offer it. So the fitting was done kind of blind.

Tater, I use system 3 epoxy. I buy it by the gallon, especially when I am working with mesquite.
I am a proud contributor and resident "stalker" on this project.

Buying by the gallon with a half gallon of hardener is the best value for me, but still runs 140$.

So when I went up to pick up some dried cherry slabs from the kiln over the weekend, I dug through the mills scrap pile looking for some scrap pieces to make mesquite canes (finding 36" long, 1.2" square, straight grain, crack free mesquite for canes is a pain) and I came across a cutoff of a mesquite slab that had some burl and grabbed it. I decided to slice it in to 1/8" thick veneers which I will back and finally got a look at the grain this evening..
Needless to say, I am stoked to make a few humidors/watch boxes from those pieces.
