I picked up several ticks on my clothes while turkey hunting yesterday. I brushed four off of me before getting in my truck. Got home and the wife checked me all over and I was tick free. We got in the truck thus morning and she spotted one crawling on my pants leg.

Any good solutions to rid my truck of the b*stards without it smelling like azz for the next month?

If they'll latch onto a snake, get your wife too toss a rat snake in the truck.

As a preventative measure, cover all your hunting clothes in permethrin. Since I've started doing this, I've yet to pick up a tick. The one time I got lazy when scouting, brought home a tick.

Was launching a boat on a pond in Wood County recently. Went through the woods. I was getting everything ready and then saw tiny ticks crawling all over me. Freaked out. Loaded the John boat back in the pickup and hauled ass.

Just read an article about possums eating thousands of ticks a year!!! Buy a possum and profit!

Like OhAggie98 said, permethrin up all of your clothes before going out. Sawyer's is the best I've found so far.

As for your vehicle, there won't be many in there, and those that are will be moving slow because they'll be hungry. You'll usually find them nice and high on your seats. Have your wife go sit in the car moving from seat to seat and then bring her in the house and "check her for ticks" if you do this a few times a day for a week you'll get any ticks that are still in your car.

This is my usual routine.

Spray all clothes prior to trip with Sawyer spray and let dry, you dont want it wet on your skin, can cause irritation.

Haven't picked up a tick yet while hunting buddies have in the same camp.

You can prolly douse the car's floor with sawyer without issue and it kills on contact for a long time. Possibly the upholstery too if its cloth but i would google that one first.
